So, my thinking was that it’d be cool to watch some of the ‘greats’ when it comes to films. My own preference is pretty narrow…..I tend to go for made-for-TV films based on some horrific crime or with some turbulent emotional undercurrent. So the Channel 5 Monday to Friday 3.15pm movie slot tends to cater for my needs! I live in a house with 3 people whose movie knowledge is really good so I thought I should check out the top movies ever and watch them. Initially, I was going to go for the top 250 (as of 1 August 2017 on the IMDB website) but that means staying glued to the sofa for a ridiculous amount of time so I’ve made it 50 instead. I’ve seen around 14 of the films first so I’ve a long way to go and looking at the ones I haven’t seen, they’re really not me! I’m definitely not into westerns or sci-fi. But this means that I get to have extra movie dates with my husband! Here’s the list (the ones I’ve seen are in bold). Perhaps we’ll start with the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
